Business funding

Business funding you get to choose

One short application puts your business in front of a network of lenders. What comes back is laid out side by side, so the offer you take is the one you picked.

  • No application fee
  • Nothing to sign by applying
  • About two minutes

The application is the way in, and it takes about two minutes.

How to choose between offers

Four lines to read across, before you read anything else

Offers rarely arrive in the same shape. One leads with its rate, another with its speed. Put them on the same four lines and the differences stop hiding.

Two owners of a plant shop reading one laptop together, the way offers should be read.

Reading offers side by sideAn illustration, not an offer

  1. Amount

Is it enough to do the job?

Not the most on offer, the amount the plan actually needs. Money you did not need still has to be repaid.

  2. Term

How long will this be with you?

A longer term lowers each payment and usually raises the total. A shorter one does the opposite. Neither is better on its own.

  3. Total payback

What does it cost, all in?

The one number that settles most comparisons: everything you will repay, fees included, across the whole term.

  4. Payment frequency

    Can the week carry it?

Daily, weekly or monthly changes how a payment feels against your takings, even when the totals match.

An illustration of how to read offers, not an offer. No rates or amounts are shown because yours depend on your business; your specialist sets the real ones out on these same four lines.

How it works

From one application to a choice worth making

Three stages. The middle one is where the work is, and it is ours rather than yours.

Step 01

Tell us about the business

How much, what for, and a few questions about how long you have traded and what comes in each month. No documents to begin with and nothing to pay.

  • No application fee
  • No documents to start
  • No obligation to accept
A 'come in, we're open' sign on a shop shelf: tell us about the business.

Step 02

We gather the offers

Your application goes to the lenders in the network most likely to fund a business like yours. What comes back is collected in one place, not scattered across a week of calls.

  • A network of 80+ lenders
  • One specialist, from start to finish
  • Lenders usually price from recent bank statements

Step 03

You choose, then get back to work

Your specialist puts the offers on the same four lines and tells you plainly which one they would take and why. Once you accept and are approved, funding can arrive in as little as 24 hours.

  • Offers compared on total payback
  • You can decline them all
  • Funding in as little as 24 hours once approved

The six

Six kinds of funding, and what each suits

Which kind fits is usually decided by what the money is for and how the business earns. Here is the short version of each.

Term Loan

The classic way to fund a bigger move.

$20K – $1M

Plain advice

What we will tell you, even when it is not what you hoped

The value of a second opinion is that it is not trying to close. These are the four things our specialists are there to say out loud.

Which clause matters
Most of an agreement is standard. We point to the part that is not.
When a lower payment costs more
A smaller instalment over a longer term can be the dearer offer. We show you both totals.
When to wait
If the business would be better off in three months' time, we will say so now.
What we are paid
Nothing by you. The lender pays us if a deal closes, and applying costs nothing.

The network's figures

The lending network behind the application

80+lenders in the network
25,000businesses funded
24 hrsto funding once approved

These are the figures of the lending network First Choice works through, not claims about First Choice on its own.

When you are ready

The choosing starts with one application

It is at the top of this page and on a page of its own. It takes about two minutes, and nothing happens unless you decide it should.
